California senior Isabel Williams (Severna Park, MD) continued her consistent goalkeeping, reaching a season-high 18 saves for the second time, to go with one assist in the 17-5 win over No. 12 Indiana (Mar. 16). Williams was unbeatable down the stretch, maintaining a second half shut out and collecting seven saves in the fourth quarter alone. Her .783 save percentage was her highest in a season where she is averaging career numbers on the defensive end. The Bears have allowed five goals or fewer in seven of their 14 games against ranked opponents. With 737 career saves, Williams is nine away from the MPSF’s all-time top-20. This is the fifth career MPSF weekly award for Williams, including three this year.
