California junior Elena Flynn (San Jose, CA) led the Bears with a season-high-tying five goals on seven shots and earned one exclusion in an 11-6 win at No. 3 Stanford (Apr. 19). The outcome was Cal’s largest margin of victory over the Cardinal since 1997. Flynn single-handedly outscored Stanford 4-3 in the first half, putting in four goals all from the outside. She fired in her fifth goal from the outside to beat the shot clock in the fourth quarter, essentially putting the game away. This is the second career MPSF weekly award for Flynn, though first as player of the week.
