Washington State sophomore Brooke Lyons (Kent, WA) began her season by capturing the 300-meter event and finishing third in the 60-meter at the Spokane Invitational (Dec. 14). Lyons won the 300m in a time of 38.82 seconds, the second-fastest in program history. She also finished third in the 60m race, crossing the line in 7.50 seconds, a personal-best and 10th all-time at WSU. This is the first career MPSF weekly award for Lyons and for any Washington State student-athlete.
