Southern Utah sophomore Niya Randolph (Las Vegas, NV) delivered a standout performance in the Best of Utah meet against No. 4 Utah, Utah State, and BYU (Jan. 20). Randolph’s consistency played a crucial role in the Flippin’ Birds’ second- place finish. She contributed a strong 9.800 on bars and a 9.825 on vault. On the beam, her 9.825 routine kept Southern Utah in position to finish well, and her 9.8255 on the floor helped secure the team’s decisive final rotation with an MPSF season-high 49.375. Randolph’s MPSF season-high all-around of 39.275 placed fourth in the incredibly competitive meet. This is the eighth career MPSF weekly award for Randolph.
