CSUN senior Trey Knight (Ridgefield, WA) made his season debut at the Nevada Invitational Jan. 24), where he broke his own school record and became the national leader in the men’s weight throw with a first-place toss of 24.87m (81-7.25). Knight’s toss leads the nation this season by nearly three feet. His throw also was the third-best in collegiate history and the eighth-best performance in world history. This is the second career MPSF weekly award for Knight, who is also the reigning MPSF Athlete of the Year.
