USC freshman Emily Ausmus (Riverside, CA) extended her scoring streak to the first 22 games of her collegiate career with 12 goals, to go with eight assists, eight drawn exclusions, four steals and two field blocks in helping the Trojans to a 4-0 Aztec Invitational (Mar. 14-15). Ausmus had three goals and two assists in a 17-10 win over No. 8 Harvard, a game in which she broke the record for most goals scored by a USC true freshman (75). She also delivered a hat trick vs. No. 12 Princeton, along with four goals and five assists in an 18-7 win over No. 16 Michigan. This is the fifth MPSF weekly award for Ausmus, in her first nine weeks of collegiate competition.
