Grand Canyon sophomore Becca Drake (Fresno, CA) and redshirt junior Jessica Drake (Fresno, CA) had an outstanding weekend on court three, securing four consecutive victories against ranked opponents in the East Meets West Tournament in Austin, TX (Mar. 21-22). They opened with a hard-fought straight-set win over LSU, edging their opponents 21-19 in both sets to clinch the 3-2 team result over the No. 12 Tigers. The Drakes would then bounce back from an opening-set loss to claim a 16-21, 21-19, 15-11 victory over No. 10 Texas. Maintaining their momentum on day two, they took down No. 18 Georgia State in two sets, 21-16, 21-18, before capping off their weekend with a commanding 21-15, 21-15 win over No. 20 FIU.
