Johns Hopkins freshman Luke Mendelsohn (Old Greenwich, CT) led the team in his first collegiate weekend with seven goals, 10 assists, and 14 steals, as JHU went 3-1 at the W & J Invitational (Sept. 6-7). He scored four goals and assisted on a fifth, to go with four steals, in his debut versus Gannon. He followed that with a goal, three assists and four steals in the win over host Washington & Jefferson. Mendelsohn tallied three points (1g, 2a) and three steals in a tough loss to Salem, and then wrapped up the weekend with one goal, four assists and three steals in a win over Penn State Behrend. These are the first career MPSF awards for Mendelsohn.
