Menlo sophomore Mikayla Lancaster (Modesto, CA) delivered a standout run to the semifinals of the 160-lb bracket at the Connor Oppenheim Open (Dec. 5). She opened her day with an upset, taking down No. 6-ranked NAIA wrestler Aspen Barber of Doane. She scored 10 offensive points before securing a dominant pin in the final minute of the match. Lancaster continued her momentum with another first period fall in the following round to get into the quarterfinals, where she grinded out a hard-fought 6-4 decision to place herself in the semifinal. This is the second career MPSF weekly award for Lancaster.
