UNLV grad student Bryson Huey (Walnut Creek, CA) broke a program record and posted four top-5 finishes at the Minnesota Invitational (Dec. 4-6), against a field that included No. 6 California, Minnesota, Iowa State and Rutgers. Huey broke the Rebels’ program record in the 50 free with an MPSF season-best 19.02 to place second overall, which also ranks 20th in the country. Huey (19.31) was the lead-off leg of the Rebels 200 free relay that placed fourth. He was the third leg of the 400 medley relay team that posted a third-place finish in an MPSF season-best 3:10.57, and anchored the Rebels’ 200 medley relay that placed second in an MPSF season-best 1:25.58.
