Stanford sophomore Kiran Mandava (Cypress, TX) turned in a career-high 14.200 routine on pommel horse to win the event title, helping the Cardinal to a season-opening dual win at California (Jan. 9). Mandava also finished fourth on parallel bars with a 12.900 routine. He helped Stanford to NCAA opening week highs in both events (parallel bars-52.700, pommel horse-54.400), in addition to the overall 320.100. This is the first career MPSF weekly award for Mandava.
