Southern Utah sophomore Mia Hampton (Meridian, ID) delivered a career night to help the Thunderbirds’ post the third-highest MPSF total all-time with 196.925 in a win over UC Davis (Feb. 27). Hampton tied for first on bars with a 9.875, scored a career-high and MPSF season-high 9.925 on beam (T-9th all-time), and added a strong 9.850 on floor to provide SUU with crucial points in the middle of the lineup. Her beam routine helped SUU to an MPSF all-time top-five score in the event (49.300). This is the 11th career MPSF weekly award for Hampton.
