The Cardinal took first as a team in three events: floor exercise (61.000), pommel horse (58.350), and rings (62.500). #3 OKLAHOMA (11-1) fell just short of toppling No. 1 Stanford Saturday night at the 2008 Pacific Coast Classic. Senior Jonathan Horton claimed his third-straight Pacific Coast all-around title, and the Sooners recorded their highest score of the season (359.800). Competing in the all-around for the first time in 2008, Horton scored a team season-best 91.150. OU gymnasts set or tied 13 individual season highs, and Oklahoma set team program marks on pommel horse (56.850), still rings (62.000) and vault (63.900, an NCAA best). Horton has been selected as one of 11 semifinalists for the 78th James E. Sullivan Memorial Award presented by the Amateur Athletic Union. Fans can cast their ballot from Feb. 22-March 10 at sports.usatoday.com or on their mobile phones to help determine the five finalists who will be invited to the award presentation at the New York Athletic Club on April 1. Fan votes count one-third toward the final tally.

Cal won parallel bars and high bar behind performances from senior Tim McNeill, who won parallel bars with a 15.400, and senior Tyler Block, who finished second on horizontal bar.
