OREGON picked up two wins in New York this past week, 11-10 in triple overtime at St. Bonaventure Wednesday and 11-9 over Colgate Sunday. Against the Bonnies, senior Ilsa van den Berg nailed the game-winner with 21 second left in the third OT period, the last of her three goals. Seniors Jen May and Jana Bradley also netted a hat trick in the thrilling win. Sunday, the Ducks used a 6-1 first half run to open the game to 7-2. Senior Lindsay Killian scored four goals against the Red Raiders. Oregon takes a 1-1 MPSF record into a home battle with Denver Saturday (Apr. 5), attempting to defeat the Pioneers for the first time ever.

CALIFORNIA junior Madeleine Dale and sophomore Alyse Kennedy each recorded a hat trick as the Golden Bears edged Maryland-Baltimore County 11-9 on the road Sunday. Freshman goalkeeper Allie Shropshire collected nine of her 11 saves in the first half. Senior Danni Zuralow had two goals and two assists in a 16-10 loss at William & Mary last Friday. The Bears take a 1-0 MPSF mark into the week, visiting St. Mary's Wednesday (Apr. 2) and UC Davis Saturday (Apr. 5) in conference action. Cal is 13-1 all time against St. Mary's and 13-4 against UC Davis.

UC DAVIS took one of three on its east coast swing last week, falling 11-9 to Le Moyne and 16-9 to Connecticut, while beating Canisius 13-11. In the comeback win, UCD was down 10-6 with about 20 minutes left, before using a 7-1 run down the stretch to secure the fourth win of the year. Senior Katie McMahon combined for 14 goals and two assists in the three games. She scored five goals each in the losses and four in the win with both assists. Senior Katie McGovern added three goals vs. Canisius. The Aggies compete in their first conference game of the season this Saturday (Apr. 5) in Davis, against California.

DENVER came up short twice in Maryland this past week, 10-9 in overtime to Rutgers and 13-7 to No. 15 Johns Hopkins. Junior Karen Morton scored three goals against the Scarlet Knights. Sophomores Lexi Sanders and Ali Flury each scored twice against the Blue Jays. The Pioneers open their MPSF schedule by visiting No. 16 Oregon Saturday (Apr. 15). Denver is 4-0 all time in this series.

STANFORD dropped two close road games, 9-7 at William & Mary and 10-9 at James Madison. The Dukes scored the game-winner at the buzzer on Sunday. Senior Daphne Patterson had four points in this game with three goals and one assist, and also scored a hat trick against the Tribe. Conference action resumes this week as St. Mary's visits Friday (Apr. 4) followed by a non-league home game with No. 11 Boston University Sunday (Apr. 6).

ST. MARY'S was not in action last week, preparing for its first two MPSF games this week. California visits Moraga Wednesday (Apr. 2) followed by a game at Stanford Friday (Apr. 4).

MAY AND MCMAHON NAMED MPSF PLAYERS OF THE WEEK Woodland, Calif. - Oregon senior Jen May (Davidsonville, MD) scored three goals in the 11-10 triple-overtime win at St. Bonaventure, including the game-tying score in the second OT. She added two goals and one assist in the 11-9 win over Colgate.....UC Davis senior Katie McMahon (Pleasanton, CA) turned in a 14-goal, two-assist week, as the Aggies were 1-2 back east. She scored four goals with both assists in the win over Canisius and five goals each against Le Moyne and Connecticut....This is May's second conference award this year (Feb. 25) and McMahon's first. Katie won it twice in '06, prior to her redshirt.
