CALIFORNIA took a giant step towards an MPSF regular season title with an impressive 12-8 win at No. 19 Oregon Saturday. The Bears jumped out to a 7-3 lead at the break, which proved to be more than enough in snapping a three-game skid to the Ducks. Senior Brittany Aungier totaled four points on three goals and one assist and sophomore Alyse Kennedy also scored a hat trick. Junior goalkeeper Morgan Dyson tied her career-high with 14 saves. Cal is riding its first four-game win streak since late 2004 and received 10 votes in this week's Inside Lacrosse Media Poll. Visits to Connecticut Friday (Apr. 18) and Columbia Monday (Apr. 21) are up next. Denver is the final regular season game at home on Apr. 26.

DENVER won a 13-9 contest at George Washington Sunday, as junior Megan Carver collected six points on four goals and two assists. Five straight Pioneer goals in the first half was the difference, opening up a 7-2 lead. Sophomores Lexi Sanders and Ali Flury each added hat tricks for the Pioneers. Senior Becky Childs was excellent in goal, posting 10 saves with just four allowed in 39 minutes of action. Denver hosts UC Davis Friday (Apr. 18), followed by a much anticipated MPSF battle with Stanford Sunday (Apr. 20).

STANFORD split two games back east with an 8-6 win over Vermont in Albany, NY, followed by a 13-9 loss at Cornell. Sophomore Dana Lindsay and senior Megan McClain had two goals each in the win, with Lindsay dishing out two assists. Senior Daphne Patterson had four goals against the Big Red, while senior goalkeeper Laura Shane registered 14 saves. Sunday (Apr. 20) features a major MPSF showdown as Stanford travels to Denver. After losing to the Pioneers last year during the season, the Cardinal took the MPSF Championship meeting.

OREGON fell 12-8 to first-place California, but quickly recovered with a 20-3 triumph in a true Senior Day against St. Mary's. Seniors Lindsay Killian, Jana Bradley and Jen May all delivered hat tricks for the Ducks. Oregon used three goalkeepers in the game and did not allow a second half goal. The Ducks head east to meet Vermont Friday (Apr. 18) and New Hampshire Sunday (Apr. 20).

UC DAVIS senior Katie McGovern put away the game-winning goal with seven seconds remaining Saturday to lift the Aggies to a 12-11 win at Cincinnati. McGovern along with senior Katie McMahon had four-goal efforts. Senior goalkeeper Hilary Harkins registered 14 saves. UCD fell 20-13 Monday at Louisville and will visit Denver Friday (Apr. 18) in an MPSF game.

ST. MARY'S fell 20-3 at Oregon Sunday. Junior Hilary Gardner had 15 saves in the crease. The Gaels visit UC Davis as MPSF action continues Sunday (Apr. 20).

DYSON NAMED MPSF PLAYER OF THE WEEK Woodland, Calif. - California junior goalkeeper Morgan Dyson (Chicago, IL) collected 14 saves, more than twice her season average, and tied a career-high in a 12-8 win at No. 19 Oregon this past Saturday. She also held an offense to over four goals below its season average of 12.33. This is Dyson's first career MPSF award. The Bears, who snapped a three-game slide to the Ducks, need one more conference win to clinch the regular season title and No. 1 tournament seed.
