#1 OKLAHOMA (3-0) claimed the Rocky Mountain Open Title on Jan. 10 for the 10th-straight year by finishing first among three NCAA Division 1 teams. The Sooners scored a 355 to win the competition, placing ahead of Nebraska (332.4) and host Air Force (317.9). Sophomore Steven Legendre won four event titles plus the All-Around (89.4), in addition to a runner-up finish on the still rings. Legendre came back this past Sunday at Nebraska to win the vault (16.3) and rings (14.9), while tying for second on floor (14.65) and placing third on the parallel bars (14.6) and high bar (14.45). Chris Brooks won the All-Around (89.2), with titles on the high bar (15.05) and parallel bars (15.3). Bobby Shortle scored a meet-high on the floor (14.9).

#4 CALIFORNIA (1-0) upset top-ranked Stanford for the second straight year to open its season. The No. 7 Bears posted a team score of 342.2. Freshman Glen Ishino (86.2) won the All-Around in his first collegiate meet, while Kyle Bunthuwong took third (83.15). Ishino won the pommel horse (15.4) and Bunthuwong won the parallel bars (14.6) and tied for first on the rings (14.8). The Bears compete at the Stanford Open Saturday (Jan. 24).

#6 STANFORD (0-1) fell in its season opener Friday at No. 7 California. Bryant Hadden won the floor title (15.0), while Greg Ter- Zakhariants won the high bar (14.55). The Cardinal hosts the Stanford Open Saturday (Jan. 24).

#8 NEBRASKA (1-2) scored a 337.6 in its home opener Sunday against No. 2 Oklahoma. Senior T.J. Schmidt won the pommel horse (14.65). Third-place finishes belonged to freshman Josh Dilworth on vault (15.85) and junior John Robinson in the All-Around (84.7). The Huskers opened the 2009 season by earning a second-place finish with a score of 332.4 at the Rocky Mountain Open. Nebraska travels to the Stanford Open Saturday (Jan. 24).

#14 AIR FORCE (0-2) opened 2009 with a third-place finish (317.9) at the Rocky Mountain Open. Sophomore Aaron Zaiser turned in the top Falcon result with a fifth-place finish on vault and career-high (15.350). Jacob Houder finished fifth in the All-Around (79.2). Air Force competes at the Navy Open Saturday before visiting Temple Sunday.

ISHINO, LEGENDRE MPSF GYMNASTS OF THE WEEK
Woodland, Calif. - California freshman Glen Ishino (Santa Ana, CA) captured the all-around (86.2) title in his first collegiate meet, leading the Bears to an upset over top-ranked Stanford to begin the season Jan. 16. He also won the pommel horse title (15.4), placed second on the parallel bars (14.5) and third on the high bar (13.8) and still rings (14.6).

Woodland, Calif. - Oklahoma sophomore Steven Legendre (Port Jefferson, N.Y.) captured the all-around (89.4), floor exercise (15.35), vault (15.9), parallel bars (14.95), and high bar (14.97) titles at the Rocky Mountain Open to start the season on Jan. 10. He also tied for second on the still rings (15.15). Oklahoma won its 10th-straight Rocky Mountain Open team title, scoring a 355 to defeat Nebraska and Air Force.
