STANFORD (3-0 MPSF, 15-1 overall) won a 13-6 MPSF game at No. 5 Arizona State this past Saturday. Freshman Melissa Seidemann scored five goals. Alex Koran added a hat trick and goalkeeper Amber Oland picked up 12 saves. Sunday, the Cardinal won a doubleheader at UC Davis, taking out the No. 11 Aggies (12-5) and No. 17 CS Bakersfield (18-3). Emily Clopp posted a hat trick against the Roadrunners. Stanford is off until March 24.

USC (2-0 MPSF, 13-1 overall) received a career-high five goals from Kami Craig this past Saturday in a 13-6 MPSF home win over No. 8 San Jose State. Tied 2-2 after one quarter, USC went on a 7-0 run over the second and third. Ilse van der Meijden picked up 15 saves, including six in the final period. Friday, USC won 11-5 over No. 16 Long Beach State, as Tumua Anae had 12 saves in the cage. Michelle Stein had a pair of goals in each game. The Trojans host Arizona State in another conference game Saturday (Mar. 14).

UCLA (4-0 MPSF, 15-3 overall) was led by Tanya Gandy's four goals in an 11-5 MPSF home win over No. 7 California this past Saturday. Katie Rulon added a hat trick for the conference-leading Bruins. UCLA won two at Cal Lutheran Sunday, defeating the host Lancers (22-3) and CS Northridge (9-3). Randi Bresee scored a career-high four goals in the first win, while Kelsey McGinley added a career-best three. UC Irvine visits in non-conference play Thursday (Mar. 12), followed by a trip to San Jose State Saturday (Mar. 14) in the MPSF.

SAN DIEGO STATE (0-1 MPSF, 15-3 overall) won all six of its games at the Cal Lutheran and UC Santa Barbara tournaments. The Aztecs defeated CS Monterey Bay (19-8) and Fresno Pacific (25-3) at CLU on Friday, Pacific (11-5) and No. 19 UC San Diego (16-6) at UCSB on Saturday, and No. 16 Long Beach State (19-7) and No. 13 UCSB (7-3) on Sunday. All told, SDSU scored 97 weekend goals (16.17 GPG). Anna Gonzales found the back of the cage 16 times in five games (3.20 GPG). The Aztecs return to MPSF play at California Saturday (Mar. 14).

CALIFORNIA (1-2 MPSF, 19-4 overall) won four of five over the weekend, sweeping four tournament wins at Cal Lutheran. The Bears routed the host Lancers (17-5), Villanova (16-2), Redlands (16-2), and Pomona-Pitzer (15-2). Freshman Lauren Barron posted four goals vs. CLU. Conference resumes at home Saturday with San Diego State.

ARIZONA STATE (0-2 MPSF, 9-7 overall) fell 13-6 at home Saturday to top-ranked Stanford in an MPSF contest. Addison McGrath put away three goals and freshman Dana Harvey collected 10 saves in the cage. The Sun Devils have a pair of conference road games this week, at Hawaii Wednesday (Mar. 11) and USC Saturday (Mar. 14).

SAN JOSE STATE (1-3 MPSF, 8-10 overall) dropped a 13-6 MPSF game at No. 2 USC last Saturday. Dani Curran led the Spartans with three goals. MPSF leading UCLA visits on Saturday (Mar. 14).

HAWAII (0-3 MPSF, 8-6 overall) was off this past week and hosts Arizona State Wednesday (Mar. 11) in MPSF action.

RULON AND CRAIG MPSF MIKASA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Woodland, Calif. - UCLA senior attacker Katie Rulon (Point Loma, CA/University HS) scored three goals in an 11-5 MPSF home win over No. 7 California last Saturday. The Bruins remained undefeated in the conference. Rulon added a season-high five goals vs. No. 12 CS Northridge at the Cal Lutheran Tournament and finished with nine goals in three games for the week (3.00 GPG).

Woodland, Calif. - USC junior 2-meter Kami Craig (Camarillo, CA/Santa Barbara HS) combined for a seven-goal week in two games (3.50 GPG), including a career-high five-goal effort against No. 8 San Jose State in a 13-6 MPSF win. She scored three straight goals during one stretch in that game. Craig added two goals in an 11-5 win over No. 16 Long Beach State, and has entered the conference scoring chart this week at No. 19.
