DENVER (1-0 MPSF, 7-4 overall) won two games in New York, 22-13 at Stony Brook and 9-8 at Rutgers, followed by a 20-7 MPSF home decision over St. Mary's. The 22 goals at SB tied the third most in single-game DU history, while Karen Morton's eight goals tied an all-time program record and was a conference-high this year. Megan Carver added a hat trick along with four assists. Friday, the Pioneers were down 8-3 in the second half in Piscataway, before running off six straight goals for the win, the last strike coming at the 1:30 mark. Morton added four goals vs. the Gaels to lead 13 different scorers. Denver was up 15-2 by halftime. Cal visits Saturday (Mar. 28) as MPSF resumes.

OREGON (2-1 MPSF, 6-2 overall) extended its win streak to five with a 14-11 Saturday home win over Colgate, fresh off final exams. The Raiders scored right away to start the game, though the Ducks went on a 6-2 run and took a 10-6 lead at the break. Jana and Jess Drummond each delivered a hat trick. Anna Poponyak picked up 10 saves in goal. Oregon, receiving a vote in this week's Inside Lacrosse Poll, hits the east coast at Brown Tuesday (Mar. 24), Delaware Thursday (Mar. 26) in Providence, and LeMoyne Saturday (Mar. 28).

CALIFORNIA (2-0 MPSF, 4-6 overall) fell 20-4 at No. 10 Notre Dame Sunday. Two-time '09 MPSF Player of the Week Alex Tickner was the Cal multiple-goal scorer with two. The Bears stay on the road this week to face No. 18 Ohio State Tuesday (Mar. 24), before conference action picks up at Denver Saturday.

ST. MARY'S (0-3 MPSF, 1-7 overall) dropped a 15-6 home contest last Wednesday to Colgate, followed by a 20-7 MPSF decision at Denver Sunday. Juliet Munroe scored a hat trick in Denver. Coming off her '09 MPSF single-game high 18 saves against Robert Morris, goalkeeper Hilary Gardner broke that mark with 20 against the Raiders. The Gaels are off this week.

UC DAVIS (2-3 MPSF, 2-7 overall) dropped a tight 12-10 decision on Monday at Siena. Patrice Clark scored a hat trick while Molly Lapolla dished out three assists. The Aggies remain east this week, visiting Manhattan Tuesday (Mar. 24) and Central Connecticut State Thursday (Mar. 26).

NO. 15 STANFORD (4-0 MPSF, 6-2 overall) was off this past week and next competes Friday and Sunday (Mar. 27 & 29), when it visits Johns Hopkins and No. 2 Maryland.

FRESNO STATE (0-4 MPSF, 0-5 overall) was off last week, and returns to action with a trio of games this week, Wednesday (Mar. 25) at Cincinnati, Friday (Mar. 27) at Detroit, and Sunday (Mar. 29) vs. Presbyterian in Detroit.

ALI FLURY MPSF PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Woodland, Calif. -Denver junior midfield Ali Flury (Arnold, MD) delivered 13 goals and three assists, while collecting eight ground balls, draw controls, and caused turnovers, as the Pioneers picked up three wins last week against Stony Brook, Rutgers, and St. Mary's. Down by five in the second-half at Rutgers, Flury took charge with four goals down the stretch, including the equalizer at the 3:36 mark. She also converted seven of her 10 shots in the Stony Brook game with five draw controls.
