#2 OKLAHOMA won its 10th conference championship in the last 12 years on Saturday, serving as the host for the first time since 2005. The Sooners collected 354.550 points, edging second place California (354.450). OU picked up its 31st and 32nd individual MPSF Titles under coach Mark Williams, as Steven Legendre won the floor (16.000) and Ian Jackson turned in the top vault by tying a career-high (16.200). Legendre placed second all-around (87.300). Oklahoma clinched its 18th overall conference crown on pommel horse, led by Alex Naddour's 14.700. The Sooners vie for a ninth national championship, Apr. 15-17 at the US Military Academy in West Point, NY.
#6 CALIFORNIA came within one-tenth of host and No. 2 Oklahoma, scoring a 354.450. Sophomore MPSF Gymnast of the Year Glen Ishino ran away with the all-around title (90.100), nearly three full points ahead of the runner-up. He also won the pommel horse title (15.150), as the Bears also won a team title on that event (57.600). Kyle Bunthuwong brought home titles on parallel bars (15.100) and high bar (14.95), while Ishino was second on high bar (14.800). Cal next partakes in the national championships.
#4 STANFORD finished third with a team score of 347.150. The Cardinal won the team still rings event (59.950), guided by Tim Gentry's title (15.45). James Fosco (15.100) and Nick Noone (14.800) completed the 1-2-3 sweep on the event. Gentry was second on vault (16.15) and Eddie Penev took the silver on floor (15.975). Third place finishers included Ryan Lieberman on parallel bars (14.600) and John Martin on high bar (14.700). Stanford next competes at the national championship meet.
#10 NEBRASKA placed fourth with an overall score of 341.650. Daniel Brule posted a career-high on floor (14.90) and Bear Danley hit a career-vault (15.45). Kyle Shanahan finished sixth on high bar (14.45), seventh on horse (14.000), and in the Huskers' top finish of the night, placed fourth on parallel bars (14.550). Shanahan was the top all-arounder for Nebraska (85.750) with Andrea Hofer right behind (85.200), placing seventh and eighth, respectively.
#13 AIR FORCE was led by junior Nash Mills ninth place all-around finish (81.950), as the Falcons recorded a team score of 329.500. Mills was the top Falcon on rings (14.300), parallel bars (13.800), and high bar (13.400). Joel Uptmor posted a top-10 finish on vault (15.650).
