Air Force Turns in Memorable Tri-Meet

#12 AIR FORCE turned in the second best score in program history (345.000) this past Sunday in Aliso Viejo, CA, in a tri-meet with Academy rivals Navy and Army. Claiming at least a share of four team titles, the day also brought the first win for the Falcons in this meet since 2000. Nash Mills won rings (14.800) and parallel bars (14.300) on his way to a season-best all-around title (85.800). Devin Menefee shared the rings title, as did Colton Wulf on bars, with Mills. Tony Brown won vault (15.850) and high bar with a career-best (14.000). Third place results were recorded by Patrick Duffy on horse (14.200) and Aaron Zaiser on floor (14.500). Menefee won rings at Minnesota last Friday (14.500). Air Force is off until Mar. 4 & 6 when visiting Illinois-Chicago.

#1 OKLAHOMA recorded its eighth win over the top-10 against Stanford and California last Saturday, scoring 357.500 in Palo Alto. Jake Dalton took home titles with career-high efforts on parallel bars (16.200) and floor (15.400), on his way to an all-around silver finish (88.200). Steven Legendre shared the floor title with Dalton. The Sooners won the team floor on a season-high (62.100) as well as the team bars (59.000). Idle this week, Oklahoma meets California again on Mar. 5 in Norman.

#5 STANFORD placed second of three NCAA teams at home on Saturday (352.000), behind Oklahoma and ahead of California. Alex Buscaglia (16.300) and Tim Gentry (16.200) turned in season-bests on vault. Buscaglia was also the top Stanford gymnast on high bar (15.100), while Gentry led on p-bars (14.700) before winning rings (15.700). Josh Dixon matched his season-best floor (15.900). The Cardinal travels to Michigan for a Saturday (Feb. 26) dual with the Wolverines.

#3 CALIFORNIA sophomore Donothan Bailey won another all-around title (89.000), along with crowns on horse (15.600) and bars (15.100), as the Bears placed third (351.700) to Oklahoma and Stanford in Palo Alto. Daniel Geri shared the p-bars title with Bailey. Steven Lacombe had the top Cal rings routine (15.400). Next up for the Bears is a dual at Oklahoma on Mar. 5, after a bye week.

#7 NEBRASKA placed second in a dual at Iowa last Saturday (342.900-348.100), as the Huskers claimed five titles. Eric Schryver had the top horse routine (15.200), as did Wyatt Baier on vault (15.700), Andi Hofer on high bar (14.400), Anthony Ingrelli on rings (15.200), and Wyatt Aycock all-around (82.700). Will Eastman (14.500) and Mark Ringle (14.400) went 2-3 on floor, and Aycock tied for second on bars (14.600). Nebraska is next in action on Mar. 6 at home against Stanford.

NASH MILLS MPSF GYMNAST OF THE WEEK
Air Force senior Nash Mills (Coto de Caza, CA) led one of the most successful meets in program history, the second highest total ever for the Falcons (345.000), taking the Academy Crown for the first time in 11 years just minutes from his hometown. He won the all-around with a season-high (85.800), along with a first place career-high on rings (14.800) and first place season-high on bars (14.300). Mills added a third place vault (15.6) in that meet and two top-three results at Minnesota last Friday. Nominated: Donothan Bailey (CAL); Jake Dalton (OU)
