MPSF Tournament Quarterfinal Results

No. 1 seed USC, No. 4 UC Irvine, No. 6 Long Beach State and No. 7 UC Santa Barbara advanced to the semifinals of the MPSF Men's Volleyball Tournament.
No. 1 USC 3, No. 8 UCLA 1
Tony Ciarelli had a match-high 21 kills to lead the No. 1-ranked USC men's volleyball team to a 23-25, 25-18, 25-18, 25-21 win over No. 8 UCLA in a quarterfinal match of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Tournament on Saturday (April 23) in USC's Galen Center.
No. 4 UC Irvine 3, No. 5 Hawaii 0
Third-ranked UC Irvine, the fourth-seed, hit a season-high .505 and defeated sixth-ranked and the fifth-seed Hawaii, 3-0 (28-26, 30-28, 25-21) in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation quarterfinal match at Crawford Court Saturday.
No. 6 Long Beach State 3, No. 3 Stanford 2
The sixth-seeded Long Beach State men's volleyball team upended No. 3 Stanford, 26-24, 25-27, 25-23, 19-25, 15-13, in the first round of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Tournament Saturday evening at Maples Pavilion.
No. 7 UC Santa Barbara 3, No. 2 BYU 1
For the second time this season, No. 7 UCSB upset the second-ranked BYU Cougars, advancing to the second round of the MPSF playoffs by virtue of a 3-1 victory.
