STANFORD (28-1 Overall/7-0 MPSF) swept through the NCAA Tournament in Ann Arbor, MI this past weekend, defeating No. 8 seed Iona (22-7) in the quarterfinals, No. 4 seed USC (8-4) in the semifinal, and No. 2 seed California (9-5) in the championship. The top-seeded Cardinal claimed their second NCAA Title, and first since 2002. Amber Oland recorded 11 saves in her final collegiate game and tournament MVP Annika Dries posted five of the nine team goals. Kim Krueger delivered a hat trick and Oland picked up 10 saves and a rare late goal in the semifinal.

CALIFORNIA (26-5 Overall/6-1 MPSF) made its first-ever national championship game appearance, taking a program-best second-place at the NCAA Tournament. There was not a single senior on the Cal roster this year. Emily Csikos recorded a hat trick and goalkeeper Stephanie Peckham stopped 11 shots in the semifinal win over No. 3 seed UCLA. Csikos and Ashley Young put away three apiece in the 13-5 quarterfinal win over No. 7 UC San Diego.

UCLA (26-7 Overall/4-3 MPSF) KK Clark scored the second of her two goals as a fourth quarter game-winner on Sunday, lifting the Bruins to a 6-5 third-place outcome over No. 4 seed USC. UCLA also ousted No. 6 Indiana, 8-5, in Friday's quarterfinal, with Grace Reynolds scoring twice and Caitlin Dement collecting 10 saves in the cage. Clark scored twice in the semifinal loss.

USC (19-8 Overall/4-3 MPSF) tallied a 14-9 win over No. 5 seed UC Irvine on day one, on its way to finishing fourth. Tied at seven after three quarters, the Trojans used a 7-2 fourth to earn a semifinal bid. All-tournament selection Patricia Jancso scored a game-high four goals and Nadia Dan a hat trick in the win.
