Ishino Wins Horse Title in Las Vegas

#7 CALIFORNIA Glen Ishino and Donothan Bailey competed in Las Vegas, as the former earned himself a spot on the US senior national team on the final night. Ishino won the pommel horse title (31.450) and Bailey was seventh on that event (28.250), en route to 16th all-around (165.550). The Bears host No. 1 Oklahoma and No. 5 Stanford Sunday (Feb. 12) in a tri-meet.
#1 OKLAHOMA junior Jake Dalton competed in three events at the Las Vegas Winter Cup this past week, finishing fifth on rings (29.250) and 12th on parallel bars (28.550) and high bar (28.100). The Sooners were also represented by Troy Nitzky, Chris Stehl, and Presten Ellsworth. Oklahoma returns to team action in Berkeley, CA Sunday (Feb. 12) in a tri-meet with California and Stanford.
#5 STANFORD partakes in a tri-meet with California and Oklahoma on Sunday in Berkeley. Cameron Foreman and Chris Turner represented the Cardinal in the Las Vegas Winter Cup this past Week.
#10 AIR FORCE is off this week, next in action on Feb. 18 at the All-Academy Championships. Last time out on Jan. 28, the Falcons recorded a season-high 337.700 in a dual at No. 8 Minnesota (345.400). Devin Menefee delivered a winning 15.000 on rings and Mac Ritchie tied for the top high bar display as well as tying a career-high (14.400). Nick Guadlip and Josh Ramos shared second on floor with career-bests (14.600). Tory Brown posted a career-best on vault (14.300) to tie for third with Ben Zaiser.

California senior Glen Ishino (Santa Ana, CA) earned himself a spot on the U.S. Senior National team following his Las Vegas Winter Cup performance. Ishino won pommel horse with a two-night total of 31.450, finishing well ahead of his nearest competitor in second place with a 30.650. Also Nominated: Jake Dalton (OU)
