MPSF Men's Gymnastics Weekly Release

#2 OKLAHOMA posted a tri-meet victory (353.100) in Minneapolis, MN, defeating No. 5 Minnesota (350.600) and No. 6 Ohio State (344.500), and completing its 11th season in the last 12 years of one loss or less. Jake Dalton was back in the lineup, and after sitting out in four events, claimed the high bar (15.300) and parallel bars (15.200) titles to finish the night. Raymond White was the top floor gymnast (15.500), while Dylan Akers placed third (15.300) and was the meet's lone all-arounder (83.100). Jacoby Rubin was second on horse (14.800), as was Pat Piscitelli (15.200) on vault and Troy Nitzky on rings (15.100). As a team, the Sooners posted their 27th consecutive floor title (61.100), dating back to the '09 season. The MPSF Championships are next up, Apr. 7 at Air Force, as OU owns seven of the last nine titles.

#7 CALIFORNIA won all six team events, and five of six individual titles, in a 347.750-328.700 rout over No. 13 Illinois-Chicago this past Saturday in Berkeley. Jean Monteclaro claimed the all-around (83.050) and rings (15.100) titles, Glen Ishino won floor (14.900) and pommel horse (15.850), Jeffrey Langenstein earned the vault title (15.050) and Jacob Jizrawi won high bar (14.000) in the regular season finale. Cal next competes at the MPSF Championships, Apr. 7 at Air Force.

#12 AIR FORCE concluded the regular season with a third-place finish at the Oklahoma Tri-Meet on Mar. 17 in Norman. The Falcons scored a 327.950, behind the top-ranked Sooners (352.400) and No. 9 Nebraska (341.550). Junior James Okamoto and freshman Gared Chapman posted the Falcons' best finishes of the night, placing fifth on horse (14.050) and rings (14.550), respectively. The Falcons were off last week, in preparation for the USAG Collegiate National Championships, held at the Academy this weekend (Mar. 30-31).

#3 STANFORD won a pair of duals at No. 5 Ohio State (355.800-347.400) and No. 14 Illinois-Chicago (355.500-337.800) to close the regular season, Mar. 9 & 11. Cale Robinson posted season-highs on floor (15.500) and parallel bars (15.000) at UIC and vault at Ohio State (15.500). He placed second on floor, p-bars, and vault at UIC, while winning vault (15.500) and p-bars (14.800) at OSU. Cameron Foreman recorded a title in each meet, backed by a pair of season-high 15.200 scores, on p-bars vs. UIC and high bar vs. OSU.

JAKE DALTON MPSF GYMNAST OF THE WEEK
Oklahoma junior Jake Dalton (Reno, NV) took charge in the clutch to lift the Sooners over No. 5 Minnesota and No. 6 Ohio State last Saturday in Minneapolis, MN. After sitting out in four events, Dalton scored a winning 15.200 on parallel bars to help tie the meet at 249.900 going into the final rotation. With the meet on the line, he pulled through with another first-place 15.100 on high bar to push Oklahoma to a 57.800 in the event, clinching the win.
