USC (1-0 MPSF, 2-2 Overall) won its first-ever MPSF contest, 17-8 at home over St. Mary's this past Sunday. Caroline de Lyra recorded three goals and six assists, while Amanda Johansen also scored a hat trick. The Trojans play their first-ever road games this weekend at LIU-Brooklyn and Princeton.

SAN DIEGO STATE (1-0 MPSF, 2-1 Overall) Michaela Jarvis led the Aztecs to an MPSF home win over St. Mary's, 19-6, with three goals and five assists. Tied at 3 in the first-half, she proceeded for three goals and an assist to close the half.

UC DAVIS (0-0 MPSF, 1-1 Overall) posted its first win for new coach Kate Henwood, 18-4 at Stetson, after taking on No. 3 Florida. Elizabeth Datino combined for six goals and four assists. Last year's NCAA points per game leader, Datino owns 80 career assists, sharing the all-time school record. The Aggies open MPSF action at St. Mary's Friday.

DENVER (0-0 MPSF, 2-1 Overall) won at George Washington last Friday, 17-6. Hannah Hook collected 11 saves for a .636 percentage, allowing five goals in the win. Kara Secora scored six goals in two games, including four at Delaware. The Pioneers host Louisville and High Point next (Mar. 2 & 4).

OREGON (0-0 MPSF, 1-1 Overall) split to begin its season, an 8-7 overtime loss to No. 12 Dartmouth and a 16-5 win over Cincinnati. Shannon Propst accounted for four goals and three assists through the two games. High Point visits on Saturday.

STANFORD (0-0 MPSF, 1-1 Overall) defeated Harvard at home, 18-13. Anna Kim delivered two goals and three assists, while Megan Lerner tied the all-time Cardinal record with eight draw controls. Stanford travels to No. 13 Ohio State Saturday.

CALIFORNIA (0-0 MPSF, 0-0 Overall) came up short at James Madison and Maryland-Baltimore County to begin the season. Goalkeeper Megan McGinnis combined for 17 saves with a .486 percentage, allowing just three goals in the first-half each game.

ST. MARY'S (0-2 MPSF, 0-2 Overall) Jillian Chong was the team-high scorer with a hat trick at USC. The Gaels play their third straight in the MPSF to begin the season, Friday vs. UC Davis.

FRESNO STATE (0-0 MPSF, 1-0 Overall) won a neutral site game over Presbyterian to begin the season, 17-14, played at USC on Feb. 17. Marcy Levatino came off the bench with a school record seven goals (two shy of the MPSF record), along with two caused turnovers, five ground balls, and eight draw controls. The Bulldogs next compete March 5 vs. La Salle in San Diego.

MICHAELA JARVIS MPSF OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

San Diego State sophomore attacker Michaela Jarvis (Annapolis, MD/St. Mary's HS) recorded three goals on five shots, along with five assists, in the MPSF-opening win over St. Mary's. She was critical in breaking a first-half tie, delivering a hat trick and an assist in the final 18:31 of the opening frame, as the Aztecs would not be caught for the duration. HANNAH HOOK MPSF DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Denver sophomore goalkeeper Hannah Hook (Arnold, PA/Severn School) had 21 combined saves and a .636 saves percentage during a road split last week. Hook made 11 saves while allowing just five goals in a win at George Washington, and followed it with 10 saves and seven allowed at Delaware.
