Sooners Record Largest 2013 Win Margin

#3 OKLAHOMA recorded its largest margin of victory this year with a 436.550-420.200 dual win at No. 8 Iowa. The Sooners claimed every team title in their road opener, along with five individuals and the all-around from Alec Robin's career-high 85.400. Robin turned in a career routine on five events, which also included sharing the vault title with Raymond White (14.800). Other Sooner winners included Michael Reid on horse (15.05), Todd Dowdy on floor (14.95), Sergey Resnick on p-bars (14.8) and Stanton Rehkemper on high bar (14.65). Oklahoma breaks from team competition this week, for the annual Las Vegas Winter Cup.

#14 AIR FORCE defeated the University of Washington club team last Friday in Seattle, 402.600-353.900, as the Falcons swept the individual titles. Tory Brown was the vault (14.700) and parallel bars (13.800) winner. Nick Gaudlip won the floor (14.600), while Nick Owen garnered a score of 14.200 to place first on horse. Tyler Huebner claimed the rings with a 14.650, while Skyler Awisus rounded out the Falcons' first-place finishers with a 13.600 on the high bar. Air Force breaks for the Winter Cup this week.

#10 CALIFORNIA posted a season-best 69.950 on the p-bars, in the dual loss at No. 2 Michigan. Cal also saw strong individual performances on vault from Matthew del Junco (14.950) and senior Christian Monteclaro (14.900), who placed second and third respectively to contribute to the team's 72.050 overall. Ryan Patterson registered a 14.000 on the high bar to claim second place. Select Bear gymnasts will partake in the Las Vegas Winter Cup this week.

#4 STANFORD came up short at No. 3 Michigan on Jan. 26, 439.750-429.350. The Cardinal were highlighted on still rings, as James Fosco and Jordan Nolff scored 15.200 and 15.100, good for first and second-place finishes, respectively. The rings were the lone event Stanford came on top, 73.700-73.550. Stanford does not compete as a team for four weeks, as select gymnasts will head to Las Vegas, NV, Feb. 7-9, to compete in the annual Winter Cup.

Oklahoma sophomore Alec Robin (Calabasas, CA) posted career-highs on five of six events, in addition to a career-high and first-place 85.400 All-Around, to help No. 3 OU record a 16.350-point win at No. 8 Iowa.
