UC Davis Totals MPSF Season-High

UC DAVIS Anna Shumaker posted wins on vault (9.85) and all-around (38.850) in leading the Aggies to a season-high total of 194.125 in last Friday's dual with Seattle Pacific. Stephanie Stamates was the floor champion (9.85) and beam runner-up (9.75), vice versa to that of Katie Yamamura, who displayed a winning 9.775 beam and second-best 9.825 floor. Lisa Wiktorski posted a career bars' routine (9.775) to claim the event. UC Davis heads to UCLA for a Sunday (Feb. 10) quad meet with the Bruins, Sacramento State, and Washington.
AIR FORCE took on No. 12 Denver, No. 24 North Carolina State, and San Jose State, last Saturday in Denver. AFA posted its second highest season team score of 192.675. Jessica Hanner shared third-place on beam (9.80), and along with Katie Hawthorne, totaled a matching career-high 38.550 and fifth-place all-around. The Falcons visit Utah State Friday.
SEATTLE PACIFIC accumulated a 191.450 at UC Davis last Friday, and now prepares to visit San Jose State this Friday (Feb. 8). Stephanie Wagner displayed a pair of third-place routines in Davis, a 9.70 on bars to share the placement with Shannon Escarra, as well as a 9.725 on beam. Escarra was the all-around runner-up (38.475).
ALASKA-ANCHORAGE was off last week and travels to Shreveport, LA, for a pair of contests against Centenary Friday and Sunday. The first meet will be a tri-meet which includes Winona State.
SHUMAKER, HANNER MPSF GYMNASTS OF THE WEEK
UC Davis junior Anna Shumaker (Alameda, CA) turned in meet titles on both vault (9.850) and all-around (38.850) to help the Aggies secure a season-best 194.125 in the dual with Seattle Pacific. Her vault mark ties her career-high, scored on two occasions in 2012; while her all-around score was just .025 off her career-high of 38.875, set at Air Force this year.
Air Force junior Jessica Hanner (Owasso, OK) shared third-place on beam (9.80), on her way to a career-high and fifth-place all-around (38.550), as the Falcons competed in a challenging road quad with No. 12 Denver, No. 24 NC State, and San Jose State. Hanner also had a career floor routine (9.60), and helped Air Force to its second best total in seven years (192.675).
