ARIZONA STATE (12-3 Overall/1-0 MPSF) Petra Pardi nailed a second-half hat trick to lead a 7-6 comeback MPSF win over No. 3 UCLA this past Saturday, the first over the Bruins in the 12-year history of the program. ASU trailed 4-1 in the second quarter and 5-3 in the third, when it would then score four unanswered and not look back. The win marks the second this year for the Sun Devils over the top-five. ASU plays a pair of MPSF road games this week (Mar. 9-10) at No. 1 USC and CSU Bakersfield.
USC (13-0 Overall/1-0 MPSF) won its MPSF opener to stay undefeated, 10-5 at California this past Saturday (Mar. 2). The Trojans opened up a 2-2 halftime score with a 5-goal third period. Monica Vavic poured in a hat trick, while Anni Espar and Jayde Appel added two goals apiece. USC hosts Arizona State Saturday (Mar. 9) in each team's second conference game.
STANFORD (13-1 Overall/1-0 MPSF) won the MPSF opener, 16-3 over CSU Bakersfield, as Cory Dodson, Annika Dries, Kaitlyn Lo, Melissa Seidemann, Maggie Steffens and Anna Yelizarova all found the back of the cage twice. The Cardinal hosts San Jose State Saturday (Mar. 9) as conference play continues.
UCLA (16-3 Overall/0-1 MPSF) Emily Donohoe scored twice and Sami Hill collected 11 saves at Arizona State. The Bruins host a conference game against California Saturday.
CALIFORNIA (12-3 Overall/0-1 MPSF) Emily Csikos scored her 199th career goal in the USC game, tying her for second all-time in program history. The Bears travel to UCLA Saturday in another MPSF game.
CSU BAKERSFIELD (4-14 Overall/0-1 MPSF) competed in its first-ever MPSF contest at No. 2 Stanford, as Shannon McKenzie scored twice. CSUB hosts Bucknell, Wagner, Pacific, and its first MPSF home game, Arizona State this weekend.
SAN JOSE STATE (8-5 Overall/0-0 MPSF) was off last week. The Spartans split four UCI Tournament games (Feb. 23-24), defeating CSU Bakersfield, 13-6 and UC Santa Barbara for 11th-place, 12-10. Freshman Rae Lekness had 10 goals followed by Timi Molnar with nine during the weekend.
PETRA PARDI MPSF KAP 7 PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Arizona State sophomore Petra Pardi (Budapest, Hungary) put away three goals in the second half against No. 3 UCLA to lead the Sun Devils to their first-ever win over the Bruins. Trailing 4-2 after the first half, Pardi scored two goals in the third to make the score 4-3 and then 5-4 after she answered UCLA's first goal of the half. After ASU evened things up at five heading into the fourth, Pardi earned the hat trick early in the frame to give the Sun Devils the first lead of the game - one they would not relinquish.

E.B. KEEVE MPSF KAP 7 NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK
Arizona State freshman goalkeeper E.B. Keeve (Naperville, IL/Waubonsie Valley HS) had 10 saves against the Bruins while limiting them to just six goals - their second-lowest output of the 2013 season. Keeve has now posted double-digit saves in all but two contests in the 15 games, playing in goal for all but one quarter this year. This is the third newcomer of the week honor for Keeve.
