#11 AIR FORCE Tory Brown captured five titles over two meets to lead a two-meet sweep at Illinois-Chicago. Brown matched the Academy record on vault in the second meet (15.050), after opening the weekend with first-place finishes on floor (career-best 15.000), vault (14.900) and parallel bars (career-best 14.750), as the Falcons defeated the Flames 421.850-405.550. Gared Chapman had broke the Academy vault record twice this year with the same mark. Brown's score on floor is tied for fifth at Air Force, while his score on p- bars is ranked sixth. Sunday, Brown captured another pair of titles, while equaling the Air Force record on vault (15.050), in a 420.050-411.750 Falcon win. He added a personal-best 14.500 to take first on high bar. Air Force faces the Arizona State and Washington club teams Friday (Mar. 8).
#3 OKLAHOMA sophomore Alec Robin won the all-around with a career-high 86.250 in the Sooners win at No. 10 Nebraska, 435.850-426.350. Robin scored a career-high 14.900 on vault and tied a career-high on pommel horse (14.750). In addition to winning the all-around, he posted a meet-high 15.200 on floor and a team-high horse. Oklahoma travels to No. 2 Michigan Saturday.
#5 STANFORD Eddie Penev claimed individual victories on floor (16.000), vault (15.600) and all-around (88.950) all personal and team season-highs, as the Cardinal (431.200) finished ahead of No. 9 California (422.750), Arizona State (389.900) and Washington (357.700), and second to the Japanese Collegiate National Team (438.850). Penev also tied his season-high on rings (14.450). Stanford travels to Army Saturday in a tri-meet with Springfield.
#9 CALIFORNIA junior Jeffrey Langenstein, placed third on floor with a 15.40 performance, as the Bears placed behind the Japanese Collegiate National Team and Stanford, and ahead of Arizona State and Washington. On pommel horse, freshman Takahiro Kawada posted a 14.700 for second place, and senior Steven Lacombe shared third for his 15.150 effort on still rings. Cal hosts Temple Sunday (Mar. 10).
