MPSF Unbeatens Collide as Denver Visits Cal

CALIFORNIA (6-0 MPSF, 9-4 Overall) Megan Takacs combined for nine goals in wins at USC, 10-7, and San Diego State, 13-11. She is seven goals from the all-time program record. Grace Parente had six ground balls at USC. Cal hosts Denver Friday (Apr. 19) in a battle of undefeated teams in MPSF play, with the winner holding an edge to the No. 1 conference tournament seed.

OREGON (2-3 MPSF, 7-7 Overall) Hayley Milner posted a game-high five goals against USC, before Carly O'Connell combined for a career-high seven points vs. Cal, on four goals and three assists. The Ducks visit Fresno State and host St. Mary's this week.

UC DAVIS (1-4 MPSF, 4-8 Overall) Mary Doyle had six draw controls, two ground balls, two draw controls, and a goal to lead the Aggies to their first conference win, 15-6 at Fresno State on Saturday. UC Davis hosts San Diego State and Oregon this week.

# 15 STANFORD (3-1 MPSF, 8-4 Overall) Lyndsey Munoz made 17 saves in two games, 14 against No. 4 Northwestern and finished the week with a .500 save percentage. The Cardinal won an MPSF game last Wednesday at St. Mary's, 20-6, as Julia Burns was four-for-four shooting en route to a seven-goal week. Stanford is home this week against Oregon and UC Davis.

SAN DIEGO STATE (3-2 MPSF, 8-5 Overall) Bailey Ewing had three goals in each of the three games last week, including wins away from home over Detroit and Fresno State. Felice Artuso had an eight-draw control game in each of those wins.

ST. MARY'S (1-5 MPSF, 3-8 Overall) Allie DeBruhl scored a hat trick and Krista Morgan posted four points at Oregon. Amanda Cross converted all four of her shots against Stanford. The Gaels host Fresno State and Denver this week.

USC (3-3 MPSF, 6-9 Overall) Caroline de Lyra recorded three assists and two goals for a five-point game against California last Friday. The Trojans' home finale in their inaugural season is Saturday (Apr. 20) against Fresno State.

FRESNO STATE (0-6 MPSF, 2-11 Overall) Kara Concheck led the Bulldogs with five goals and six points in games against Oregon and UC Davis. She had a career-high four goals against the Aggies. Fresno State visits SMC and USC this week.

# 12 DENVER (5-0 MPSF, 13-1 Overall) was off last week, and got past No. 10 Stanford, 14-10 (Apr. 5) and UC Davis, 13-11 (Apr. 7), to extend its win streak to 11. The Pioneers return to the field at California Friday and St. Mary's Sunday.

SHANNON PROPST MPSF OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Oregon junior attacker Shannon Propst (Bel Air, MD) put together her best two-game stretch of the year last week, finishing with 14 points on eight goals and six assists in wins over Fresno State and St. Mary's. Propst's five-goal effort against the Bulldogs was a career-high, also adding two assists. Sunday, Propst posted three goals and matched a career-high four assists against the Gaels. LYNDSEY MUNOZ MPSF DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Stanford junior goalkeeper Lyndsey Munoz (Crofton, MD) helped lead a strong defensive effort in two road games against St. Mary's and No. 4 Northwestern. Munoz made 17 saves in the two games, 14 against Northwestern, and finished the week with a .500 save percentage. She allowed just five goals which were not free-position shots against the Wildcats. JULIA BURNS MPSF ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Stanford freshman midfield Julia Burns (Dover, MA) led the Cardinal in points (nine) and goals (seven) in two games against Saint Mary's and No. 4 Northwestern. She recorded hat tricks in both games, including a perfect day of shooting against the Gaels, scoring on all four of her shots. Against defending national champion Northwestern, Burns recorded team-highs in points (five), goals (three) and assists (two).
