Game 1: No. 2 USC 21, No. 7 CSU Bakersfield 5
Kaleigh Gilchrist scored five goals, while Monica Vavic and Jayde Appel added three apiece to lead a group of 10 Trojan scorers in the quarterfinals. USC meets No. 3 seed Arizona State in Saturday's semifinals at 12:45 pm. Flora Bolonyai collected 10 saves. Janelle Shelby led CSUB with two goals.
Game 2: No. 3 Seed Arizona State 12, No. 6 Seed San Jose State 8
No. 3 seed Arizona State defeated No. 6 seed San Jose State, 12-8, as Alicia Brightwell poured in four goals, followed by a hat trick by Shannon Haas. EB Keeve picked up 16 saves. Rae Lekness had three goals to lead the Spartans. The Sun Devils are guaranteed their highest finish at the MPSF Tournament in program history.
Game 3: No. 4 Seed UCLA 4, No. 5 Seed California 3
Freshman Rachel Fattal scored a hat trick, including a pair of fourth quarter goals to lift the Bruins into the semifinals against top-seeded Stanford. Host California is off until Sunday, when it plays for fifth-place against the SJSU/CSUB winner.
