2013 MPSF Player of the Year
MEGAN TAKACS - #32 - SENIOR - ATTACKER - CALIFORNIA
California senior attacker Megan Takacs (Chagrin Falls, OH/Chagrin Falls HS) is the third MPSF Lacrosse player to win back-to-back player of the year awards (Kristie Leggio-Denver, '06-'07; Lauren Schmidt-Stanford, '09-`10), and the only Golden Bear ever to earn the honor. She owns 144 career goals and 179 points, while her 48 tallies this season ranks third on the program's all-time single-season list. Two goals at the MPSF Tournament will put her in sole possession of fourth all-time in the conference. Takacs ranks ninth nationally (MPSF first) with 3.20 goals per game and 14th nationally (MPSF second) with 66 draws entering the postseason. She was named MPSF Offensive Player of the Week on March 26 after scoring four times and tying her personal best 11 draws at Fresno State, which also tied for second all-time in MPSF history. She scored at least three goals against every conference opponent this year, totaling 12 hat tricks overall.
2013 MPSF Rookie of the Year
AMANDA JOHANSEN - #7 - FRESHMAN - MIDFIELD - USC
USC freshman midfield Amanda Johansen (Glen Head, NY/North Shore HS) is the new single-season MPSF record holder with 95 draw controls, 29 more than her closest competitor entering the postseason. Her average of 5.59 draws per game also ranks seventh on the NCAA list through the regular season. Johansen was a three-time MPSF Rookie of the Week (Feb. 25, Mar. 11, Apr. 29), a conference-high, and one of two players to win it more than once. On April 27, she tallied four goals and an assist at San Diego State to help put the Trojans in the MPSF Championship Tournament in their inaugural season. On April 20, Johansen collected an MPSF single-game record 13 draw controls. She started all 17 games, accumulating at least three goals in eight games. In addition to leading in draws, she is currently second on the team in goals (39), assists (15), points (54), and ground balls (24).

LIZA KELLY - SEVENTH YEAR - DENVER
Head Coach Liza Kelly led the University of Denver to a 16-1 regular season record in 2013, and in seven years as Pioneer Head Coach, a fourth unbeaten conference schedule. Entering the MPSF Championship Tournament as the No. 1 seed, 11th-ranked Denver owns a 14-game winning streak, an all-time high in the conference. The Pioneers can be found amongst this year's NCAA team leaders in several categories. Their .941 win percentage is tied for third in NCAA Division I. The team has scored at least 13 goals in all but two games, and carries a plus-6.06 scoring margin for a No. 9 national rank. They are second in caused turnovers per game (12.18), tied for fifth in points (368), seventh in goals per game (14.71), and 16th in scoring defense (8.65 GA). To date, Kelly is 87-37 overall at DU (.702), 39-4 (.907) in conference games.
