Denver and Stanford Meet for MPSF Title

MPSF Semifinal #1:

No. 1 Seed Denver 17, No. 4 Seed USC 11

Eugene, OR---Top-seeded Denver seeks a first-ever MPSF Championship Saturday at 1 pm, defeating No. 4 seed USC in the first semifinal, 17-11. The Pioneers never trailed. Mikayla Clark, Annabelle Gilbride, and Jenn Etzel all recorded hat tricks for DU. On Defense, Kate Henrich caused five turnovers and Hannah Hook collected 13 saves. Amanda Johansen had five draw controls for an even MPSF record-setting 100 this year. Caroline Cordrey had a game-high five goals for USC.

MPSF Semifinal #2:

No. 2 Seed Stanford 16, No. 3 Seed California 6

Eugene, OR---No. 2 Seed Stanford seeks an eighth MPSF Championship Saturday, having been in every title game in MPSF Lacrosse history, with a 7-2 record in such contests. Stanford raced out to leads of 3-0, 7-1, and 8-2 over No. 3 Seed California by halftime and was not caught. Hannah Farr posted four goals, while Rachel Ozer had a hat trick with three assists. Two-time MPSF Player of the Year Megan Takacs of Cal put away four goals and picked up six draws in her final contest.
