Stanford Hits Season-Highs to Beat No. 1 OU

# 4 STANFORD Mike Levy delivered strong performances on rings (15.400), floor (15.300) and vault (14.500) to help lead a 445.150-442.400 victory over No. 1 Oklahoma at the Metroplex Challenge in Dallas, TX. The outcome marked the first loss for the Sooners. Stanford scored season-bests on floor (75.800), rings (75.550) and high bar (74.500), tied its season-high on pommel horse (72.750), en route to its season-best overall score. Levy's score on rings was his collegiate-best, finishing third in the event. Akash Modi turned in a pair of first-place results, on parallel bars (15.050) and a collegiate-best horse (15.150). Sean Senters had the top vault on a career-high (15.150).

# 1 OKLAHOMA freshman Colin Van Wicklen won the floor title at the Metroplex Challenge against No. 3 Stanford, posting a career-high 15.550. That score tied for the second highest by any gymnast in the nation this year. OU's team floor total of 76.500 was the second-highest in the nation this year. Van Wicklen also earned a 15.000 on vault to take second. Stanton Rehkemper posted the high bar title with a career-high (15.350), while Michael Squires won the rings (16.100) and Allan Bower the all-around (87.800).

# 9 AIR FORCE was highlighted last weekend individually by Tyler Huebner, who set the all-time Academy still rings record (15.800) at Army to win the event by nearly a full point. Air Force defeated its service-academy rival, 417.850-416.050, as Gared Chapman (vault, 15.050) and Chase Cannon (high bar, 14.450) also won titles. Cannon's routine marked his first collegiate title. Huebner added a winning 14.700 on rings the following night, as the Falcons (424.550) easily won a tri-meet over Illinois-Chicago (403.550) and host Temple (402.500).

# 10 CALIFORNIA accumulated 426.500 at No. 4 Ohio State (443.300). Donothan Bailey chipped in three top-three finishes, taking the title on horse (14.900), placing second all-around (88.650), and third on a career high bar (15.450). Ryan Patterson was second on vault (15.100) and floor (14.950).
