SACRAMENTO STATE Kalliah McCartney tied for first on vault (9.825, 6th vault title) and was the outright winner on bars (9.875, career-high) and beam (9.80) against UC Davis and Alaska Anchorage, as the Hornets accumulated a season-high and first-place 195.275. Kailey Hansen shared the vault title with McCartney. Jesse Williams contributed a career all-around (39.050), tying for second on bars (9.825, career-high tying) and tying for third on vault (9.80). Hansen added a runner-up on floor (9.825). The Hornets wrap up the regular season at San Jose State Friday (Mar. 14).
# 29 SAN JOSE STATE Bekah Gher placed second on vault and beam, both going for 9.80 scores, en route to a third-place all-around (39.025) in the dual at Utah State. Julia Greer also had a pair of runner-up routines, posting a 9.85 on floor and 9.80 on beam. The Spartans had their fourth straight meet of better than 195, totaling 195.100 in Logan.
# 31 UC DAVIS sophomore Stephanie Stamates won the floor exercise (9.850) while senior Anna Shumaker had runner-up finishes on beam (9.75) and floor (9.825) to claim the all-around title at 39.075, helping the Aggies to a 194.800 at Sacramento State. UC Davis finished second of three at the meet, and heads to California Saturday (Mar. 15) for the regular season finale.
AIR FORCE Jessica Wallander recorded a third-place vault (9.80), as the Falcons totaled their best vault (48.450) and overall scores of the year (193.900) at the Eastern Michigan Quad. Lindsay Ebel and Linnaea Hance shared the uneven bars title (9.775). The team overall total was also its second-highest since 2007. Air Force travels to New Hampshire for a Friday meet.
SEATTLE PACIFIC accumulated 193.350 at No 16 Boise State, the fourth time the Falcons have surpassed 193 this year, tying the 2007 team for that school record feat. Shannon Escarra had a second-place all-around (38.600). Kai Tindall was fourth on floor (9.80) and Lauren Glover tied her career-high on vault (9.775). The Falcons end the regular season at Washington Friday.
ALASKA-ANCHORAGE Morgan Cook posted a 38.125 all-around to lead a shorthanded Seawolves team to a 188.550 score last Friday in a tri-meet at The Hornet's Nest. Cook turned in a season-high 9.70 on vault, while the team matched its best night of the year on that event, totaling 47.850. Alaska-Anchorage has completed its regular season.
