DENVER (6-2 Overall, 1-0 MPSF) Jill Remenapp, the MPSF's all-time assist leader, moved into third in NCAA history with 168 after dishing her 15th of the year in the first half against Dartmouth last Tuesday (Mar. 24). She is 10 away from the No. 2 spot, held by Maryland's Jen Adams (1998-01).The Pioneers defeated the Big Green at home, 13-6. Nicole Martindale recorded a game-high six points on three goals and three assists. Monica Lucas added a hat trick. Hannah Hook made nine saves, allowing just six goals (.600). The Pioneers conclude their seven-game homestand with Stanford (Apr. 3) and UC Davis (Apr. 5).
USC (7-3 Overall, 3-0 MPSF) won a program record seventh-straight game at Dartmouth, 9-7 (Mar 28). Michaela Michael scored three goals (including the game-winner), along with four draw controls, three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Goalkeeper Gussie Johns added five ground balls in the full sixty minutes for her seventh win. Monday (Mar. 30), the Trojans came within four goals at No. 2 Boston College. Amanda Johansen scored four goals and Caroline De Lyra added three along with two assists. Michael had five draws and Johns five ground balls.
NO. 13 STANFORD (5-1 Overall, 1-0 MPSF) scored the final seven goals of the game at Harvard (Mar. 27), spanning 14:52, to win 15-10. Rachel Ozer posted a second half hat trick, while Hannah Farr and Lucy Dikeou added two goals and one assist apiece. Farr and Dikeou delivered those same stats at No. 15 Penn State (Mar. 24). Kyle Fraser had a game-high four goals and Kelly Myers collected eight draw controls.
OREGON (8-3 Overall, 2-1 MPSF) posted a conference road win Monday (Mar. 23) at Fresno State, Olivia Pyne netted three goals. Cambi Cukar scored once and dished a game-high four assists. Carly O'Connell added two goals and two assists. Jackie Moccia collected four ground balls. Later in the week, the Ducks turned an 8-7 halftime deficit into a 19-8 win at LIU-Brooklyn (Mar. 26), as Hayley Milner had six goals and O'Connell with three.
COLORADO (5-3 Overall, 0-1 MPSF) Darby Kiernan recorded four goals, while Blair Sisk, Johnna Fusco, and Katie Macleay each added three in a 17-7 win at UMass-Lowell (Mar. 27). Macleay added three assists and Kiernan had four draws. Fusco had four goals at No. 2 Boston College (Mar. 25).
FRESNO STATE (3-8 Overall, 1-4 MPSF) Nicole Ortleib scored a game-high four goals vs. Oregon Monday (Mar. 23), and Meganne Weissenfels had 12 saves. In the Bulldogs' first conference win Thursday (Mar. 26) at St. Mary's, 18-6, Anjelica Fuccillo and Marcy Levatino put away four goals apiece, while Caroline DIneen-Carlson added a hat trick. Three of Levatino's four goals came in the first 11 minutes of the contest. Abigail Bergevin tallied three assists and caused three turnovers, and Weissenfels collected 10 saves (.625).
CALIFORNIA (2-8 Overall, 1-2 MPSF) Elizabeth Koehler had three ground balls at Towson (Mar. 21). Monday (Mar. 23), the Bears snapped a five-game slide with a 15-11 victory at George Washington. Bella Huther tallied five goals and one assist. Gaby Christman recorded a line of four goals, three ground balls, three draws, and two caused turnovers. She also scored twice at No. 11 Princeton (Mar. 25).
SAN DIEGO STATE (7-3 Overall, 4-0 MPSF) had its program record seven-game win streak come to an end at Yale (Mar. 28), and will continue an Ivy League road swing at Brown Tuesday (Mar. 31). Alexa Comfort scored twice in New Haven. Lauren Paul and Katrina Reeves each picked up four ground balls. Christina Ricciardulli collected three ground balls, won three draws, caused a turnover, and scored once.
UC DAVIS (1-7 Overall, 0-0 MPSF) Elizabeth Landry had six draw controls at No. 20 Johns Hopkins (Mar. 28). She also had three goals and five draws at Towson (Mar. 25). Landry became the third player in MPSF history to reach 200 career draw controls. Her total of 202 entering the week is seven away from the No. 2 spot and 24 away from the all-time conference record.
ST. MARY'S (0-10 Overall, 0-4 MPSF) Jaclyn Biggers netted three goals and collected a game-high six draw controls against Fresno State. Colleen O'Connor had three caused turnovers and three ground balls. Biggers had a five draw control game at Sacred Heart (Mar. 28).
