SAN DIEGO STATE (3-2 Overall, 2-0 MPSF) won two games in Fresno, 16-8 over Campbell (Mar. 6) and 15-4 in MPSF action over Fresno State (Mar. 8). Sophie Koubek accumulated a five-goal week, four in the non-conference win. Christina Ricciardulli combined for 11 draw controls over the two games, and added three ground balls in the conference win. Alex Watson was four-for-five on shots vs. Fresno State, ending up with a six-goal week. The Aztecs, the lone 2-0 MPSF team entering the week, return home for Liberty and California this weekend (Mar. 13 & 15).

NO. 11 STANFORD (4-0 Overall, 1-0 MPSF) stayed unbeaten with a 22-11 rout at Vanderbilt (Mar. 8). Lucy Dikeou tallied a career-high six goals, one away from the Stanford single-game record. Kelsey Murray added four goals to go along with three assists. Kelly Myers set a Stanford single-game record with 10 draw controls against a Vanderbilt team ranked fourth in the country in draw controls per game. It was also the second-most draws by an MPSF player this year. Meg Lentz held the nation's No. 7 point scorer Mallory Schonk (5.20 P/G) to no goals and one assist. USC (3-2 Overall, 1-0 MPSF) flew past Liberty Monday (Mar. 9), 20-6. Michaela Michael turned in a big game with five goals, seven draw controls, two ground balls, and one caused turnover. Amanda Johansen added a hat trick with four draws and three caused turnovers. Johansen has 174 career draw controls, tied for fifth all-time in the MPSF.

COLORADO (2-2 Overall, 0-1 MPSF) blanked Presbyterian at home Monday (Mar. 2), 19-0. It is the first shutout posted by an MPSF team since 2010. Johnna Fusco recorded a first half hat trick, on her way to a four-goal game. Cali Castagnola and Darby Kiernan also tallied first half hat tricks as did Taylor Oliver in the second-half. Marie Moore controlled seven draws and picked up three ground balls. The Buffs allowed only five shots in the game. Colorado then battled in its road opener at No. 7 Northwestern Saturday (Mar. 7), as Fusco had three goals and three draws. She has a hat trick in each of her four games this year. Paige Soenksen had 13 saves and Kiernan added two goals, two caused turnovers, and four ground balls.

UC DAVIS (1-3 Overall, 0-0 MPSF) defeated Detroit at home Monday (Mar. 2), 13-10, for its first win. With four more draw controls in the Marquette game (Mar. 8), Elizabeth Landry is 41 away from the MPSF all-time record held by Rachel Minarovich (SMC, 2011-14). Landry had four goals, seven draws, and three ground balls against Detroit (Mar. 2). Kai Murphy totaled 24 saves for the week, 13 vs. Marquette, allowing just five in an OT game. She had a .615 save percentage in two games last week. Melissa Kellan was four-for-four on shots, and Courtney Neff led the Aggies with five goals vs. Detroit.

FRESNO STATE (1-4 Overall, 0-3 MPSF) Kyleigh Westgarth put away five goals and three ground balls and Caroline Dineen-Carlson added four goals in a 13-11 home win over Campbell (Mar. 4). Anjelica Fuccillo had four ground balls and Holly Cisneros three caused turnovers in the win. Dineen-Carlson scored twice vs. San Diego State and Sophia Aragon picked up three ground balls in the San Diego State game.

CALIFORNIA (1-3 Overall, 1-0 MPSF) Bella Huther tallied five goals, three ground balls, two draws, and caused two turnovers against Old Dominion (Mar. 8). She scored twice in the Michigan game (Mar. 4), and leads the Bears in points (16) and goals (12). Chloe Landry scored twice vs. Michigan and is the team leader in draw controls (14) after totaling six last week.

ST. MARY'S (0-4 Overall, 0-2 MPSF) hosted Detroit (Mar. 4) and Michigan (Mar. 6) in their home openers last week. Jaclyn Biggers combined for eight caused turnovers, six groundballs, four draw controls, four goals, and one assist. Megan Armes tied the single-game MPSF record with eight caused turnovers vs. Detroit.

NO. RV DENVER (2-2 Overall, 1-0 MPSF) continues its four-game homestand Wednesday (Mar. 11) against Boston U., before also hosting New Hampshire (Mar. 15) and Yale (Mar. 17). Denver had its 12-game home win streak snapped by No. 13 Louisville, 14-9 (Feb. 28). Jill Remenapp had four goals and two assists, to move into third all-time in the MPSF with 259 career points. Already the all-time assist leader in the conference, she is 62 points from Katie McMahon's (UCD, 2004-08) record point total of 321. Ali Proehl caused four turnovers and picked up a 2015 MPSF single-game high seven ground balls against Louisville. Kiki Boone is fourth all-time in the MPSF in draws controls (177).

OREGON (3-1 Overall, 1-1 MPSF) Holly Johnson came off the bench to score four goals, including a first half natural hat trick, as the Ducks posted their first MPSF win in a 21-3 home outcome over St. Mary's (Mar. 1). Cambi Cukar dished six assists, while the Ducks tied their all-time single-game assists record from April 12, 2007 with 16. Oregon's 37 points (21 G/16 A) in the contest also tied a program record set on March 3, 2006. Janelle Parker recorded a .500 save percentage for the week, allowing nine goals and making nine saves through 96 minutes. The Ducks finish out a five-game homestand this week with three games.
