No. 2 STANFORD chalked up the second-highest team total this year with 447.700 in a tri-meet home win over No. 8 California and No. 11 Michigan (Feb. 6), also good for the highest Cardinal total all-time, dating back to when the scoring system changed across NCAA Men's Gymnastics in 2012. Stanford won five individual titles plus the all-around. Akash Modi added his third all-around title of the season (90.350), while adding a career-best 15.500 victory on pommel horse, along with a season-best on rings (14.600), vault (14.900) and parallel bars (16.050, first-place).
No. 1 OKLAHOMA accumulated 447.450 as it took down No. 6 Nebraska (428.700) this past Saturday (Feb. 6) in Norman. The Sooners swept the event titles for the fourth-straight meet, led by Kanji Oyama's all-around (88.600) crown. Allan Bower posted victories on pommel horse (14.750), vault (15.200, tie with Josh Yee), and still rings (15.300, career-high), as did Hunter Justus on floor (15.650, tied career-high), Yul Moldauer on parallel bars (15.900), and Yee on vault (15.200, tie with Bower). Oklahoma's best team score of the meet came on parallel bars, totaling 76.050, while winning every team apparatus.
No. 8 CALIFORNIA totaled a season-high 431.550, placing ahead of No. 11 Michigan for its first win of the year, in the tri-meet at No. 2 Stanford (Feb. 6). Kyle Zemeir posted career-highs on pommel horse (14.550) and high bar (15.550). Mikey Diliberto posted a career-best 13.450 on horse, as Cal scored a team total of 71.300 on the event. He was also solid on rings, posting a 13.700, and had the highlight of his evening with a 14.950 on parallel bars.
No. 10 AIR FORCE recorded season-high scores on the pommel horse (71.000), parallel bars (70.300) and high bar (71.300), en route to a total of 425.850 in a Feb. 6 home meet with No. 4 Minnesota (438.500). Arinn Wade posted a season-high 15.000 to win the pommel horse, and Tm Wang recorded a season-best 14.750 parallel bars to earn that event title. Wade added a second-place tie on high bar with Lukas Texeira (14.500, career-high for both). Wang was third on horse (14.850), while Aaron Nubine tied Christian Kalustian for third on vault (14.650).
