Games, Steffens Pour in Seven in MPSF Wins

USC (2-0 MPSF, 24-0 Overall) extended it NCAA record win streak to 51-straight games with home wins over Princeton, 12-3, San Jose State in an MPSF game, 19-3, and Hartwick, 21-5. Brigitta Games poured in a career-high seven of her 12 goals for the week in the conference game against the Spartans. Maud Megens scored a game-high five goals against Princeton, en route to a 10-goal week. Stephania Haralabidis totaled eight goals for the week, giving her 256 in her career, second all-time at USC and up to seventh in MPSF history. USC continues MPSF play by hosting Arizona State Saturday (Apr. 1) at 12:30 pm on Pac-12 Networks.
STANFORD (2-0 MPSF, 15-1 Overall) Maggie Steffens put away a career-high seven goals in a 19-2 MPSF home win over CSU Bakersfield (Mar. 25). She tallied a hat trick in the first 68 seconds of the game. Steffens enters April with 207 career goals, five away from cracking the MPSF's top-30 all-time. Katie Dudley added three goals and Makenzie Fischer scored twice in the first quarter. Stanford visits rival California Sunday (Apr. 2) at 4 pm on Pac-12 Networks.
ARIZONA STATE (2-1 MPSF, 18-4 Overall) won its sixth-straight game by edging No. 4 California in MPSF action on the road, 7-6 (Mar. 25). Maud Koopman, Lena Mihailovic, and Bente Rogge each scored twice. Rogge scored twice in the first quarter, while Koopman scored back-to-back goals midway through the fourth to give the Sun Devils the winning margin. Mia Rycraw collected six saves in holding Cal to six goals. ASU visits USC Saturday.
SAN JOSE STATE (0-2 MPSF, 9-14 Overall) fell 19-3 Saturday (Mar. 25) at USC, as Carla Toha Vilanova scored a pair of goals. The Spartans are off until they host California on Apr. 8.
CSU BAKERSFIELD (0-5 MPSF, 12-13 Overall) Kristen Jensen and Ashley Paz were the Roadrunner scorers at Stanford. CSUB visits San Diego State on Apr. 11.
CALIFORNIA (1-2 MPSF, 13-5 Overall) Carla Carrega scored a game-high three goals in the loss to Arizona State (Mar. 25). Cal hosts Stanford in another MPSF game Sunday (Apr. 2).
UCLA (3-0 MPSF, 14-1 Overall) travels to Hawaii this week to face San Diego State, UH, and UCSB (Mar. 30-Apr. 1). Last in action, the Bruins defeated California at home, 10-4 (Mar. 18) in MPSF play. Maddie Musselman scored the game's lone first quarter goal, and the Bruins were not caught. UCLA used a 7-2 second half run to seal the win. Rachel Fattal, who just last week joined the MPSF's 200-goal club, tacked on four and climbed into the program's top-three all-time with 204. Kodi Hill added two goals and Carlee Kapana collected 11 saves.
