Riley Loos (El Dorado Hills, CA) won the all-around with a career-best 83.000 to guide the Cardinal to a virtual victory over No. 9 Navy (Feb. 17). The all-around score is the third-best nationally this year. Loos hit a career-best 14.800 on vault to win the event title. He also set career-bests on still rings (14.500) and high bar (13.300), with the score on rings matching the highest in the nation this year to claim the event title. In addition to a second-place finish on high bar (13.300), Loos also placed second on floor (14.100), parallel bars (13.200) and pommel horse (13.100). This is the second career MPSF weekly award for Loos, repeating last week’s honor.

J.R. Chou captured his second pommel horse win, just a few days after his first, hitting a 13.400.
No. 10 CALIFORNIA recorded a season-high on just three-day rest, defeating Springfield College 387.200-369.950 in a virtual dual meet (Feb. 17)….Yu-Chen Lee had team-highs on floor (14.000, season-best), still rings (13.200) and parallel bars (13.800)…
Will Lavanakul posted a career-best 14.250 on pommel horse, ranking third in the nation and second-best in school history… Lavankul added a personal-best on parallel bars (12.600)….
Caleb Rickard earned Cal's second-highest score of the meet with his 14.200 on vault…
Noah Newfeld competed in the all-around and set a career-high score of 77.900…He garnered personal-bests on pommel horse (13.350) and parallel bars (13.300)…Cal had season-high team totals on pommel horse (64.700) and parallel bars (64.850).
No. 12 AIR FORCE competed in the All-Academy Championships with Navy and Army (Feb. 13), where the Falcons placed second (379.100), ahead of the host Army…Frankie Valentin posted a pair of second-place results on still rings (13.100) and all-around (75.650)…
Collin Hickey posted a career-best 14.550 on vault – the fifth-best score in Air Force history – to tie for third…
Oliver Zavel and
Troy Jenkins also recorded second-place marks, as Zavel scored a career-best 12.800 to tie for second on the high bar and Jenkins posted a career-best 13.800 for second-place on floor….Air Force totaled a team record 71.350 on vault.
No. 1 OKLAHOMA is the top-ranked team in the nation overall and at least in the top-two on every event…The Sooners recorded a winning 413.400 in a virtual meet against No. 8 Army (Jan. 30)…
