No. 8 AIR FORCE hosts the 30th edition of the MPSF Championships Saturday (Apr. 1, 4 pm MT) in Cadet West Gym…The Falcons tallied 395.500 to finish second in the field of five teams at the 2023 USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championships in Springfield, MA…Patrick Hoopes won the pommel horse in both the team finals (14.650) and event finals (13.600)…Erich Upton took first-place on vault (14.450), parallel bars (13.900), and all-around (54.750) in the event finals, while Garrett Braunton recorded a winning high bar score of 14.400…
 
No. 1 OKLAHOMA won an all-time MPSF record nine-straight MPSF championships before Stanford ended that run last year…All told, the Sooners own an all-sports combined MPSF record 19 team titles (all coming in the last 23 contested years since 1999)…OU swept all six team and individual event titles on its way to a 410.050 to 381.450 win at No. 10 California to conclude the regular season (Mar. 18)…Emre Dodanli won three event titles, scoring a career-high 14.800 on floor exercise, a 14.600 on vault and a 13.700 on high bar…Spencer Goodell won two events, registering a 14.100 on parallel bars and 13.850 on still rings…Ignacio Yockers won his sixth pommel horse title of the season with a 14.600…Jack Freeman registered a career-high 14.350 on vault and scored a 14.550 on floor…The Sooners posted two team scores of 70-plus, tallying 70.400 on floor and 70.750 on vault… 

No. 2 STANFORD is the five-time MPSF Champion and broke Oklahoma’s run of nine-straight team titles last year, en route to its third-straight NCAA title…Stanford totaled a 2023 NCAA-high 423.550 in a tri-meet win at No. 8 Navy, with No. 9 Air Force (Mar. 11)…The Cardinal set season-best marks on pommel horse (68.900), high bar (67.700), and an NCAA-best on still rings (72.400) and parallel bars (72.800)…Brody Malone won the high bar title with a 14.150, while J.R. Chou won the parallel bars with a career-best 14.850…Nicolas Kuebler won the floor title with a season-high 14.550, while Asher Hong finished atop the standings on rings at 14.650…Zach Martin rounded out the event winners for Stanford with a 14.800 on vault….In addition to his title, Malone finished second on parallel bars (14.750) and still rings with a career-high-tying 14.600…

No. 10 CALIFORNIA  Noah Newfeld led the Bears in three events, posting team-bests on floor (13.900), rings (13.500) and high bar (12.900) in the final regular season meet of the year against No. 1 Oklahoma…Will Lavanakul's 13.350 paced Cal on pommel horse in his final home meet, while Theodor Gadderud matched his personal-best on vault with a third-place-tying score of 14.350 …The Bears’ own three MPSF team titles, last coming in 2004…
