On September 16, 2021, the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) announced the addition of its record-tying 11th active sport, when artistic swimming joined the conference for the 2022 season. Now in its second season, the MPSF is the only intercollegiate conference in the country to sponsor artistic swimming. Stanford University, University of the Incarnate Word, Texas Woman's University and Wheaton College will compete for a title in the second edition of the MPSF Championships, held at LISD Eastside Aquatic Center in the Colony, Texas (Mar. 4-5).  Stanford won the inaugural conference title in its own facility last year.
