2025 MPSF Player of the Year
COOPER ROBINSON · #11 · R-JUNIOR · OUTSIDE HITTER · UCLA

UCLA redshirt junior outside hitter Cooper Robinson (Pacific Palisades, CA/Loyola HS) ranks in the MPSF’s top-seven in four categories entering the postseason. He is fifth with 3.58 kills per set, sixth with 4.25 points per set, and seventh in both aces per set (0.36) and hitting percentage (.389), while the Bruins hit an MPSF-best .367 in the regular season. Robinson won two MPSF/Molten Offensive Player of the Week awards this year on March 10 and 31. His most recent conference honor came after he hit .443 with 4.71 kills per set through two MPSF wins over Pepperdine. Robinson’s first weekly award was following a 31-kill series with a .491 clip in another two-match top-10 MPSF series win over Stanford. In the final home match of the year (Apr. 17), he put away a career-high and 2025 MPSF second-most 25 kills with a .537 hitting percentage in a win over No. 5 USC. He produced 18 double-digit kill matches in the regular season. A three-time all-conference selection, Robinson represents UCLA’s seventh MPSF Player of the Year recipient, and third in the last four years (Merrick McHenry, 2024; Miles Partain, 2022; Brandon Taliaferro, 2000; Stein Metzger, 1996; Jeff Nygaard, 1995 & ‘94).

2025 MPSF Freshman of the Year
COLE HARTKE · #10 · FRESHMAN · OPPOSITE · PEPPERDINE

Pepperdine freshman opposite Cole Hartke (Barrington, IL/Barrington HS) enters the MPSF Championship Tournament ranked third in the conference with 3.74 kills per set while hitting .342, and is second with 4.46 points per set. He also served 36 aces in the regular season to rank fifth in the conference. Hartke produced double-digit kills in 18 regular season matches, including in all 12 of MPSF competition. He had a 24-kill outing, just two kills off the MPSF season-high, with a .475 clip against Loyola-Chicago (Jan. 30). He was named MPSF/Molten Offensive Player of the Week twice this year (Apr. 7, Mar. 3), following a 36-kill and 33-kill MPSF series vs. Grand Canyon and USC, respectively. Hartke, the only freshman named to this year’s All-MPSF first team, is Pepperdine’s fifth MPSF Freshman of the Year recipient (Ethan Watson, 2024; Jonathan Winder, 2005; Sean Rooney, 2002; Scott Wong, 1998).
