USC sophomore
Emily Ausmus (Riverside, CA) racked up a team-leading four goals, all in the second half, to help secure a crucial road win at No. 5 Arizona State after a close 9-8 halftime score (Mar. 14). Ausmus also had an assist for a five-point game as USC moved to 3-0 in MPSF play. She added two steals, two sprint wins and a field block to her stat line. This is the eighth career MPSF weekly award for Ausmus, though first as Delfina Player of the Week.

California freshman
Despoina Drakotou (Athens, Greece) scored twice and had three steals and two assists in the Bears’ 10-8 win over No. 5 Hawai'i (Mar. 15). Her steal and second goal of the game gave Cal a 7-4 lead in the first half. Drakotou’s all-around game also included two field blocks and two earned exclusions. This is the fifth MPSF weekly newcomer award for Drakotou.
