UCLA sophomore outside hitter
Sean Kelly (Manhattan Beach, CA) averaged 4.22 kills per set while hitting .438 (38-6-73), and served two aces, as the top-ranked Bruins picked up a pair of top-five MPSF wins, 3-2 at USC and 3-1 in the rematch at home (Mar. 3-6). Kelly hit .521 with 21 kills in the comeback road win to open the series. This is the first career MPSF weekly award for Kelly.

MPSF/MOLTEN DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Pepperdine sophomore outside hitter
Jose Gomez (Trinidad, Cuba) recorded two block solos, three total blocks, four digs, and was 16-for-17 passing (.941) in the Waves’ 3-1 upset and first win at No. 3 Hawaii (Mar. 4) since 2009. Gomez finished the two-match series with nine digs and five blocks. This is the first career MPSF weekly award for Gomez.
