Marshall Cook runs approximately 20 wrestling events per year through the Western United States, on the youth, middle school, high school, and collegiate levels, as well as the national qualifier tournaments for the Pac 12, Cascade Collegiate Conference, Region 18 (NJCAA), and several high school state qualification tournaments in Oregon. Every school in Washington, Oregon, California (other than the junior colleges), Idaho, and Montana go through one of Cook's tournaments to qualify for the national tournament. He started running tournaments when Track Wrestling first came on the scene. 

Cook graduated from Canby High School in Oregon where he competed in wrestling, track and field, football, and rugby.  After high school, he wrestled at Division-III Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon., where he also spent 10 years coaching several All-Americans and national qualifiers on both the men's and women's side. He then transitioned from college to youth coaching, and has coached several middle school and high school state placers and champions.

Cook is a science teacher from Canby, Oregon. He and his wife Amanda have two children, Dean and Juniper.
