Raul Sheen comes to the MPSF with over 20 years of experience in collegiate athletics, including stops at current and previous MPSF member institutions. He has served in multiple capacities in athletic departments including time in marketing, sponsorship sales, ticketing, as well as a positions coaching track and field at Idaho State University, the University of New Mexico, Long Beach State, Seattle Pacific, and the University of Washington.
Over his eight-year stint at Washington, Sheen's sprinters and hurdlers won four Pac-12 titles, and combined for 32 All-America honors. Husky sprinters earned 16 individual bids to the NCAA Outdoor Championships under Sheen, and the men’s 4x100-meter relay advanced to the final site four times. Sheen helped Huskies find success across all sprint events, as Washington has qualified athletes to the NCAA Outdoor Prelims in every one of the fourteen possible sprint events, combining the men and women, during Sheen’s tenure.
Sheen was a track and field athlete at Idaho State University where he received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Sport Science/Athletic Administration.
Sheen lives in Fresno, CA with his wife Audra, who is a track and field coach at Fresno State University.
